🐾Foundation skills classes are open to
pups and pooches every breed and any age, YES, puppies are welcome too.
🐾Foundation skills course focuses on; 🐾Developing handler knowledge of and application of markers and reinforcement strategies.
🐾Developing a relationship which supports learning and collaboration.
🐾Growing the skill of engagement in the presence of distractions.
🐾Growing the skill of disengagement and apply it in the context of the training session.
🐾Growing the skill of optimism through engagement with novel items, for example place board, whistle, dummies.
🐾Growing the skills of arousal regulation and impulse control, learning to sit, wait, stay, stop in the face of distractions.
🐾Growing the skill of working in proximity with you; YES, that means heel work but not as you know it. Takes a little while to master BUT it makes walks so much more emjoyable!
🐾Operant conditioning through fun training games which build the skills required to play level 1 games.

Spaniels are used for scent work jobs, in the field they track injured birds.
