Led by Jan, a retired nurse, qualified teacher, lifelong dog owner, and certified dog trainer, our approach is rooted in empathy, education, and experience. Jan’s unique background ensures that every session is not only effective but also nurturing, helping both you and your dog feel confident, understood, and cared for.

Pups and Pooches Dog Training believes in making tails wag and hearts happy.
Mission:
To improve the lives of dogs through the provision of education and support to dog owners enabling them to better understand the needs of their dogs and have an appreciation of how they learn.
Coaching dog owners to improve their handling skills and to apply their knowledge of how dogs learn to train essential life skills using kind, ethical and fun training methods.
Why?
Dogs are sentient beings who experience feelings and emotions much like ourselves, recognised in law under the 'Animal Welfare Act 2006'. Science has also shown that stressed dogs cannot process information effectively, therefore training methods MUST recognise them as such.
How?
Pups and Pooches Dog Training offers education, support and understanding to help you build your knowledge, confidence and handling skills.
Positive reinforcement is an effective method of training your dog with kindness and compassion.
